Artwork & File Submission Guidelines

To ensure the highest quality print and fastest turnaround, please follow these specifications when preparing your files:

1. Preferred File Formats

\n\n

Vector Files (Best for Logos & Large Prints): .AI, .EPS, or .PDF (with all fonts outlined).
Raster Files (Photos): .TIFF, .PSD, or high-resolution .JPG.

\n\n

2. Resolution Requirements

\n\n

Files should be at least 300 DPI at the final print size.
Note: Images pulled from websites (usually 72 DPI) will appear blurry when printed.

3. Color Mode

\n\n

Please submit all files in CMYK color mode.
If your brand requires specific Pantone (PMS) colors, please list them in the "Special Instructions" field of our submission form.

4. Bleed & Safety

\n\n

For full-bleed designs (printing to the edge), please include a 0.125" bleed on all sides.
Keep all important text and logos at least 0.25" away from the trim edge.

What is the Pantone Matching System?

The Pantone Matching System (PMS) is a color reproduction standard in which colors all across the spectrum are each identified by a unique, independent number. The use of PMS allows us to precisely match colors and maintain color consistency throughout the printing process.

Why do the printed colors look different from the colors on my screen?
\n\n\t
In short, printers and monitors produce colors in different ways.
\n\n\t
Monitors use the RGB (red, green, blue) color model, which usually supports a wider spectrum of colors. Printers use the CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) color model, which can reproduce most—but not all—of the colors in the RGB color model. Depending on the equipment used, CMYK generally matches 85–90% of the colors in the RGB model.

When a color is selected from the RGB model that is out of the range of the CMYK model, the application chooses what it thinks is the closest color that will match. Programs like Adobe Photoshop will allow you to choose which color will be replaced. Others may not.

Is white considered a printing color?

Not typically. Because white is the default color of paper, it is simply recognized as the absence of any ink. However, when using colored paper, white ink may be used if any text or graphic requires it.

PDF (Portable Document Format) is the most common and preferred file format for submitting digital documents. 1 - Let’s look at washing your embroidered clothing

\n\n

Before we consider the embroidery on your clothing you need to think about the garment itself. Always read the washing instructions for the garment carefully and follow them. If the garment is altered in anyway then there is a good chance that this will affect the embroidery on it. For example, if the garment shrinks in the wash the embroidery will bow out on the garment as the stitching itself will not have reduced in size with the garment.

\n\n

The Do Nots of Washing Embroidered Clothing

\n\n

When washing an embroidered item of clothing there a few things to be aware of. Undo any buttons and close any zips on the garment, this will ensure the shape is maintained during the wash.
Embroidery thread is best washed at 30 degrees and is guaranteed not to fade or distort if washed at this temperature. Another area of good practice when washing embroidered clothing is to wash the item inside out. This will protect the embroidery and increase its longevity.
Don’t dry clean a garment that has been embroidered. Dry cleaning uses chemicals that will affect the embroidery thread.
Finally, wash your garment before its first wear. This will remove any marks from the embroidery frame.

2 - Let’s look at drying your embroidered clothing item

\n\n

Ideally a garment that has been embroidered is best dried by lying on a flat surface. This is not always possible so hanging it on a clothes rack will be fine. Try not to leave in a damp or wet environment before your garment is fully dried. This is not only bad for the embroidery but also the garment itself. Never tumble dry a garment that has embroidery on it as the thread is not designed to be tumble dried and will not react well to this form of drying.

3 - Let’s look at how best to iron your embroidered clothing item

\n\n

All embroidered garments should be ironed inside out on the reverse of any embroidered logo. You should never iron directly over the embroidery itself as the high temperatures from the iron may damage the thread and therefore the logo.

Last but not least - folding and storing

\n\n

To protect the embroidered logo on your clothing hang it up in your closet. If you need to fold the item to place in a drawer or suitcase avoid folding along the embroidered logo or text so as not to stretch the thread.
